Nick Addington

We welcomed Nick Addington to Elmfield Church as our pastor in November 2014. He joins us with his wife Jane and 3 children. Nick grew up in Northampton and after school trained as a Cardiac Technician at Bart’s Hospital in London. After this training Nick worked at the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green for 10 years before leaving to work in India at the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab, as Chief Cardiac Technician. After 2 years he returned to the UK to study for a Dip HE in Biblical and Cross-Cultural Studies at All Nations Christian College, Ware before returning to Ludhiana, where he met and married Jane.

In 1998 the family returned to the UK and Nick studied an MA in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation at London Bible College (now London School of Theology). They returned to India to help establish Chandigarh Bible College (now called the North India Institute of Theological Studies), Nick becoming Principal in 2004 and Dean in 2007. in 2009 he and his family relocated to the UK where he became pastor of Church in the Field, Kedlington, Haverhill, Suffolk.

Mark Stephenson

I became a Christian at the age of 16 and have been working in Youth Ministry for most of my Christian life. I attended the New Testament Church of God, where I held a variety of youth oriented posts. Over my many years of youth work I have been known for one of my most repeated phrases which is “I want to see young people grow into a relationship with God and become all that God wants them to be” and that is my desire and prayer for the children and young people here at Elmfield.

Previously I worked for the Press Association as an IT support team leader; a job that I loved and enjoyed. Leaving my job to work as Youth Pastor at Elmfield was both an exciting and nerve-wracking decision for me – and one of the biggest steps of faith I have made so far!

I am married to Michelle and we have been blessed with a beautiful son called Kai. We enjoy ‘growing together and looking forward to what life brings.’

Liz Whitcombe

I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home and decided to make the personal decisionto follow Jesus when I was 12 years old.

I have lived in Rayners Lane since getting married in 1999 and shortly after, joined Elmfield Church.

I am married to Tony and we have 2 children.

I worked for Barclays Bank for over 20 years but now spend my time doing voluntary work for a local primary school and helping at Elmfield Church, mainly as part of the Children and Youth Team.

God has blessed me in so many ways and my desire is that, with His help, I can be a blessing to all those I come in contact with.
